Hidden Gem at Feringgi Bay – Barracuda Grill One evening while staying near the beach in Penang, we decided to explore the Feringgi Bay area in search of something good to eat. We walked all the way from our hotel along the beach to the restaurant strip, checking out various spots — even reaching the end where an Arabian restaurant sits. As we were heading back, still undecided, a small container-style food stall caught our eye. The menu at Barracuda Grill looked interesting and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. On a whim, we decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be the best decision of the night. The food was simply delicious — freshly prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. We ended up loving everything we ordered and polished off every bite. It’s rare to stumble upon a place that delivers such a satisfying surprise, especially in a touristy area. This humble little grill truly impressed us. Highly recommended if you're looking to try something unique, affordable, and genuinely tasty in the Feringgi Bay area. We'll definitely return next time we're in Penang!

I love spicy seafoods and they totally nailed it. Best eat it with rice, meanwhile the beach view and their seafood both are complementary to one another. Recommended to try it, slightly on above average price but if you’re sharing with a group of people of 3-5people it’s totally worth it suitable for family & friends. Ofc they have stir fry vegetables with their special sauces too!

Freshly grilled seafood served here. I don’t eat most shell fish so i could only order the grilled barracuda and fried rice. The fish was extremely fresh like it just died (RM39). Fried rice (RM15 for 1 portion) was acceptable. Liked the chilli sauces served alongside our meal. We paired our meal with a nutmeg soda - the nutmeg taste was quite watered down, mainly tasted soda. Not worth it IMO. Pricing here is slightly more reasonable compared to shops in the vicinity. However, you ARE paying for being on the beach.

Had a wonderful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious and served fresh. The staff Mr. Dev were very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Really enjoyed both the food and the service will definitely be coming back again!

The sea just in front of you and having dinner with the beautiful sunset. Come and order before 630pm as they are quite slow to serve in case you want to snap the foods with sunset. Overall the seafood is very fresh and nice. Worth to come and enjoy the food. We came 2 nights in a row, having prawn on the second night, it's really good and don't tip with any sauce. You can feel the freshness.

We had the set that included rice, Salt-baked Sea Bass, Kam Heong (Dry Curry) Squid, and Kapa/Lala. We ordered Fish Crackers to have while waiting for the food to arrive. The food was good, wait time wasn’t that long, and the atmosphere was great. Nothing beats having dinner on the beach. The staff were friendly and sporting as well. Would I return? Definitely!
